Each organization in our system is encouraged to list at least a year’s worth of fundraising initiatives, which are what we call “campaigns.” Each campaign has a detailed description of the project, fundraising goals, a progress meter, photos, videos, etc. This really allows the nonprofit to showcase their different initiatives and show you the work they do every day in order to achieve their mission. Here’s a few things you can do with and take away from campaigns:
- You can follow them. As you are browsing through organizations and their campaigns, you can simply “follow” the ones that interest you. All of the campaigns and organizations you follow will be listed in your profile for you to go back to when you’re ready to make a decision.
- You get a complete story. Because organizations list an entire year’s worth of campaigns, you get the big picture of what they do and who they serve. If you’ve ever wondered what organizations are working so hard to do (we know you have), this is a perfect place to get their full story.
- You have security. We know you sometimes wonder where exactly your money is going when you give. Even if you trust the organization, it happens. To everyone. Since organizations are essentially putting it all out there, you get to choose exactly what you want to support and be confident your money is going where you want it to.
- You learn about new causes and programs. Whether you’re browsing a page of a nonprofit you’re familiar with or searching for something new to support, campaigns tell you a lot about what an organization does. Again, they tell you an organization’s unique story and give you more insight into their day-to-day.
